Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s latest cooking show, intended to challenge what he calls the “excessive wokeness” in modern cuisine, has run into significant opposition from vegan activists and advocacy groups. The show, titled ‘No More Wokeness in the Kitchen,’ aimed to explore traditional cooking methods and ingredients without the influence of contemporary dietary trends.
However, Ramsay’s outspoken critiques of veganism and plant-based diets quickly drew the ire of vegan activists, who launched online campaigns calling for the show’s cancellation. The activists argued that Ramsay’s approach was dismissive of ethical and health concerns associated with animal products and promoted harmful stereotypes about veganism.
As a result of the mounting pressure and controversy, the network airing Ramsay’s show announced its decision to suspend production indefinitely. In a statement, the network cited the importance of fostering inclusive and respectful dialogue around food choices, acknowledging the diverse preferences and beliefs of its audience.
